After months of searching for and debating bikes i finally brought one home today. the Daytona 600 fell through but i stumbled upon this SV 40 min from my house. she’s an 07 with 8k on her and i picked her up for 2800 (about a grand less than the nj average) put 100 mi on her today and it was an absolute delight. now the thing left to do is name her (nothing lame like suzi the suziki lol) and start dressing some of her minor issues. she’s got a small crack in the tail, has the ugly fender on the back, needs tires soon, and a very small crack in the pax seat. other than those small issues she is awesome.

I second the congratulations. Do you want to convey dependability, speed, or a different aspect of the bike? I mean old bluey sounds like a faithful steed. Though Septimus Victorius could be interesting.

thanks. i have a few days to think about a name for her before my 1st road trip with her. riding from mid nj down to the georgetown,DE area. should be a nice trip.

I got my 05 SV650 almost two years ago with 3300 miles. She has 4000 miles now... I’m not so good at this. As for the name, I went with Pickle.

An SV650 is a fun bike in so many ways! Have fun!

tail tidy is already here waiting to go on the bike this week. works been busy and the weathers been shit so i haven’t had any wrenching time. pipe will probably be next

thanks but i think im gonna save up for a scorpion serket. they sound and look awesome. plus as of 2 hours ago i just found a leak in the power steering of my car.

Ive had 3 of them. 2 carbon fiber ones amd a titainum one. The forst CF lasted 3 years and cracked. Okay...w/e. The second that was sent as a warrenty replacment lasted a week before it exploded on a ride the third can (second replacment) is a titanium can thats sort of doing funny things with the sticker.

Awesome customer service though. I didnt pay a dime for my replacments. Not even shipping.
